Just like our SURINAAMSE DAME peanut soup - this dish has a long history. It has its roots in Indonesia ('Gado-gado' in Indonesian literally means "mix-mix"), Java, and Sudan. It has travelled with migrants to Surinam and nowadays is also very much loved in countries such as the Netherlands. Our delicious vegan version with tofu, crunchy vegetables, and a lovely spicy peanut dressing.
